How to Take a Hay Sample
Since most of us do not have access to a hay drill, collect one handful from the inside of 10 to 12 bales of hay to get a representative sample. Once collected, thoroughly mix all the hay samples together in a dry bucket and collect a sub-sample large enough to fill a large Ziplock bag.
